Just got an Armalite Eagle 15EAMFT

Hello all...

I just got an Armalite Eagle-15 Mission First Tactical.

I shoot a pistol right handed (both eyes open), and a long gun left handed, as I'm left eye dominant. So far I haven't shot it yet, just been getting familiar with it, breaking it down, and drooling over accessories. The only "issue" that I have is that the safety is uncomfortable where it hits my trigger finger, when the safety is in the fire position.

Is there a lower profile safety that can replace the stock safety? If so, how difficult is it to replace?

Thanks!

Safeties are really easy to change out. Here is one I recommend.

I used one of these on one of my latest builds. I like it.

Hi Greg,

Your comment is scaring me... did I make a bad deal? I got the Eagle AR, and $300.00 cash for the two weapons that I traded. The carbine ammo was way to expensive for plinking, and the Remington uses 7mm Mauser, which "aint" cheap either. I figured that having a good home defense and target weapon was more important than hanging on to the old stuff.

How much was the AR?

The problem is the 2 guns you sold are collector guns. Meaning their value will only go up if kept in good condition. The AR on the other hand, will most likely only go down.

What he said plus I have jonesed for a rolling block my entire life. I have three nice Carbines but I'd sure not pass up another one. They are neater than pockets in a suit. They rank right behind 1911's in fun for the whole family.

+1 on those Rolling Blocks.

I would of bought that one in a heart beat.

The Eagle-15 Mission First Tactical was 615.00...

Heavy barrel, forward assist, front and rear sights, 6 position MFT stock, and I mated it to a Nikon P-223 3-9x40 scope.

Depending on the condition of the 2 guns you had, id say you got the short end of the stick. Sorry man.

Depending on who you ask, 1 gun you Will shoot is better than 2 you won't.

Thank you sir! I hope to have a long association with this Forum. I traded in my M-1 carbine and 7mm Remington Rolling block for the AR, so I hope that I made a good choice in the Eagle.
