DanR 1,028 Posted July 9, 2017 Browning is stopping the production of new Hi-Powers! This is a great loss for us all, especially those of us who love the finest handgun ever designed. I love my Hi-Powers and will now have to begin buying all the parts I can find so I will be able to keep shooting them with no fear of having to relegate them to "safe queens". The valur of your pistols just went up. I am sure FN has good support. I also believe some one good will continue to make them.
Flesh Wound 5,036 Posted July 9, 2017 I have a pristine Argentine HP from the 70's. What a great gun. The Argentines even made parts as a sub-contractor to FN for their HP production.
Retcop 5,513 Posted July 9, 2017 Worst thing I ever did with guns is trade off my Belgian made Hi-power. I still have nightmares. I have PTSD.

Retcop 5,513 Posted July 9, 2017 Omg.... Tell me about it.... It is something I have to fix. Them stopping production is going to make it even harder, as prices will go up across the board. When you are young stupid, and unwilling to go into debt to buy that off duty/plainsclothes approved piece, with two tiny kids.....I should have carried my duty weapon and saved, I know, I know, I know, It is like being haunted, I can still see the bluing on that thing, I even had a bit O work done to it, it was sweet, fit my hand perfectly. gshayd 3,256 Posted July 11, 2017 You must have some very fragile Hi Powers if they break with normal use. you don't even have to look hard to find parts..... http://www.cylinder-slide.com/index.php?app=ccp0&ns=catshow&ref=BHPparts
