Hog - Boar hunting in OR?

Recommended Posts

Anyone know where to go? I see what the ODFW says but sounds like most are on private land. If anyone knows of a ranch or BLM land with boar or pig and are willing to share I would love to hear from you. I have hunted boar in TX and think it is the best meat ever! Be great to put some in the freezer.

Basically, there are two main populations of feral pigs in Oregon; down south along the border and in central Oregon ranging from

Madras to condon.

I have heard that there is a ranch here in eastern Oregon that has a population of them to hunt, but that might be a rumor because no one can ever tell me the name of the ranch.

Heard a really good podcast on wild pig control. States that don't allow hunting of them do much better with population control because they don't have guys hunting for profit (ranches) or guys taking hogs to the woods to release for hunting.

WA doesn't have any which I am being convinced more of that it's good.

I saw this on Clover Creek Rance. Sounds to me like they are breaking the law by charging you to hunt them on their property.
