TYBSP
Lets see, I was 15 years younger for one thing lol. Yes we used a harpoon, and a .410 with slugs (before bringing it on board) and quite a few hours doing what felt like pulling the plug from the bottom of the ocean. I got sick of halibut that year lol.
Etho
Halibut is good stuff. A friggin gigantic version of our Southern Flounders. Like our's is some kinda mini scaled down version.

hsracer201
that photo is real? i thought it was a photoshop joke or something.
AKFF
that photo is real? i thought it was a photoshop joke or something. Yes it's real, halibut are caught that big from time to time, more often they are in the 20 to 100 pound range. People argue that the meat consistency is better on the chickens but I'm all about the meat run. The bigger the better.

OKTrap
After seeing the Halibut ... I AIN'T EVER POSTING FISH PICTURES. I just can't compete. However ... here are some fishing pictures "Trapper Style": How we fish: How we catch turtles: This way saves us money on Lures, Reels, Line & Poles. It's a whole lot easier. You can eat soft shell turt I caught one on some chicken liver once while fishin for hybrid stripers and caught one that had a shell about 14 inches long. I wish I took a pic.
