Browning Buckmark

Recommended Posts

I had a threaded model on order from Academy trying to make it in time for the mail in rebate. Academy cancelled the order for some reason. So I am headed to Academy to purchase the non-thaded model and will change the barrel to a tactical solutions threaded model. Several sites have it on sale right now. Will run it with a suppressor. Should I get a 4 inch or 5.5 model? What say the Armory?

Don't have any advice other than I'm jealous you're getting a can for it!

Brownells has a $20 off and free shipping, but I have to get the black, fluted, and 5.5

I should get it for $180 with some JB bore bright for the $200 minimum.

Is the Tac Sol barrel that much of an improvement? (Other than getting threads?)

The Buck Mark I just got shoots better than I can as-is.

I have tac sol barrels on my 10/22, 22/45, Buckmark. It's a marked improvement.

The threaded Buckmark vs the non-threaded with tactical solutions barrel will cost me $14 more. The tactical solutions barrel is lighter, seems like a win with the suppressor on the front.

I have Primary Weapons Systems T3 on a 10/22. It is built by Green Mountain and turned down by PWS.

The old Browning Buckmark Silhouette model does not really reqiire any other barrel other than the factory barrel. Shot one for about 10 years in a 10 inch (wood forearm) in competition. Then I happened to find a 5 inch Silhouette, Target model, same gun, same barrel just 5 inches VS 10, at a decent price, under $500. I bought it and put a Gilmore 2 MOA red dot on it. Right now, it has shot 10 turtles on my farm ponds. It is as accurate as my Anchutz,

Not to long ago I found a new old parts 5 inch barrel for it wrapped in paper at a parts warehouse. I am going to turn down and thread the muzzle, when I get to it, on my list of things I want to do, VS what I need to do next.
