Gmountain
Out of the blue, in Thursday, I got hit with sciatica. Geez, this sucks. Went to a chiro yesterday, spent last night and today flat on my back. I hope it gets better soon.
srjdsmith
Sorry, friend. I’ve never had it, but it kept my wife miserable until she got rid of it. I hope you’re better soon.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
ozarkpugs
I had a miserable time with it all summer and then after about 2 months semi relief it came back and made hunting season a pain . Finally I gave in and googled yoga for sciatica . After a couple of weeks of stretching the correct muscles my back is aligned and pain and numbness went away . md65636
Yes it does. I have had problems with it for almost 5 years. The side of my calf goes numb or tingles most of the day.

Winkel
I had some serious nerve pain a couple of years back. My chiropractor couldn't give me any relief. I was getting a stabbing pain in my right buttock with no radiation down my let. It turned out my SI joint was out. I finally went to an Osteopath who did spinal manipulation and acupuncture. After about four visits, he had he joint back in. It still aggravates me a little but just in the joint, no nerve pain. If you can't get relief with your Chiropractor, I would highly recommend looking into an Osteopath. Just make sure you find one that does spinal manipulation. From what I've been told, not all do. That guy saved my life. There were evenings I couldn't even sit down. Now, there are days, even weeks when I don't have to take any pain killers for it. Again, it still aggravates me some in the immediate area, but no shooting nerve pain in my buttocks.

Retcop
Hope you feel better soon G. My doc thinks my sciatica is not from the bulged discs in my lower back, he says they are no problem. He thinks I blew out my sacroiliac joint during that nasty fall I took. Said it is a simple surgery of 30 minutes with great success rates....and he uses surgery as last resort to the extreme. The other side hurts in the same place but not as bad and without referred pain down my leg. My bet is it has something to do with wearing a duty belt for all those years. We got load bearing vests not long after I left. We had to look friendly, you know. I'll pray you are feeling better soon. That kind of pain sucketh big time. Do you mean you went to a DO, a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine instead of a Allopathic physician (MD)
