One of the articles said they were diagnosed as having flu by medical care of some sort.

It is a shame, there is a test for flu and it is cheap to run and accurate but is often skipped by providers because "it isn't necessary". A friend of mine died a couple of years back from toxic shock after having been to the doctor and being diagnosed with flu based on symptoms only and no test. She actually ended up calling 911 and being taken in to the hospital after 3 days of no improvement. By that time, her organs we failing and she lingered in ICU for several days before dying.

Had she been diagnosed correctly through testing she would still be alive. It wasn't even the common cause of toxic shock in females. It was an ingrown hair that killed her. Barely more than a pimple in outward appearance.

I hadn't read he was diagnosed with the flu.

My point is still valid for those of us still here. And yes I understand seeking treatment doesn't always end with recovery.

Still I wish that when the police first showed up at Jeff and Nancy's door they would have been transported to the hospital. Treatment of the symptoms of dehydration and fever may have made a difference.

I'm already missing G's presence here. His sudden loss is also bringing up memories of those I've lost. The list grows long at 62 years old.

Guys, I can’t find an obituary for G or his wife.  I was trying to find out when his and his wife’s funearals are/were.  I can’t find anything on it.  If they haven’t had the funeral yet, I was thinking of sending some flowers, but I can’t find anything.  Have any of you seen any information on funerals or memorial services for them?

I could not find anything either.  The news said something about an autopsy on both so don't know how long that takes.

I would send something too, however my guess is he both are buried by now.  He died the 28th.  Autopsy was probably sped up as the suspicious circumstances of both he and his wife dying at home.

I would like to make a suggestion though, if we can't find funeral info, I would like to suggest that the Armory as a whole send a donation to the NRA in Jeff's name.  It was his passion.  We all know that.  I'll throw it out there for discussion.

The way the laws are written it’s considered kidnapping if EMS takes you to the hospital after you say you do not want to go unless the cops emergency detain you & they can only do that if your a clear and present danger to you or somebody else.

The laws are written like this to protect you & tragically this kind of situation does happen.

Ive been that ambulance crew who wanted to transport someone & was told no only to have them pass at home when it could possibly have been prevented....and that really sucks having your hands tied by the law.

I understand what you're saying about the law. My point is for the person who's sick. If your family or friends send someone to check up on you and your still sick, go get checked out. Like I said, I've lost 3 people close to me that I believe would have had a good chance at survival had they gotten medical treatment.

Edit: If I haven't gotten my point across by now I never will. This part isn't directed at you Rampy. It's to drive home the point that I want those sick to get treatment.

I like that idea. It's a very fitting donation in his honor.

I totally agree with you.....more so than it sounded.....

was just trying to explain that the cops cant just make you go to the hospital if your sick....

ive lost track of people I’ve lost and still waiting for the notification for the funeral @ Arlington National Cemetery for a brother from another mother.....that’s going to tear me apart, but I’ve got to go.....
