The Armory is mourning the loss of Jeff and Nancy.

I don't have the words right now, and maybe we could start a thread with amusing/thought provoking stories about G

that celebrate his friendship and his role on this board.

Jeff was part of a solid block of people here who really made me feel welcome ,

and part of a community, even though I was completely new to AR's.  He will be missed.

Peace, my friend. I'll see you on the other side, unless it's lawyers only.

Just use this thread I pinned at the top on Saturday. :thumb:

I merged the obituary thread into this one to keep it all together.

Not to politicize this, BUT...

Do you see any  connection between the increase in odd diseases and the  unexpected influx of "visitors" from Third World countries?  Just asking....

In my opinion it may be time to re-think the following little poem.  Or maybe at least teach them how to use toilet paper, soap and water, to cover their mouths when they sneeze or cough, maybe issue them a bottle of Purell.

“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

I actually decided that several years ago when the bed bug issue was out of control..my thinking: what group is most commonly hired as hotel maids..

Too damn old to believe in coincidence..

At this point, we might as well change it to this:

“Give me your criminals, your gang members,
Your diseased masses yearning to get freebees,
The scum you’re trying rid your teeming shore of.
Send these, the worthless, drug-dealing to me,
Congress lifts it’s lamp beside the golden door and awaits you with welfare and voter cards!”

When that poem was relevant, it was because the people who came here wanted to be Americans.

I've been away from the site for the past couple of weeks with other projects.  Just know seeing this.  I'm just sick.  G Mountain was always such a pleasure to communicate with.  Hard to believe both he and his wife were found dead of the same illness.  So sad, to say the least.  Prayers to their family.  Just goes to show ya how really fragile the human body can become as age replaces youth.
