Zephyr One/Zero
Sorry to here about this. GMountain was a mainstay here at the Armory, and he will be sadly missed. RIP, brother!

They don't think its Hep A for the brother, but he has just come back up from FL. Wow. Did G know something about Clinton or what? Not to make light of it but damn, that is a huge coincidence. Hep A is a durable virus able to survive for months on a surface and is resistant to detergents, acids and other cleaners. I know G was a vegetarian but did he eat seafood? That is a common route of infection.

Why else would this happen. He was down there. My prayers are out to the whole family. This is horrible.

Blacktree
I haven't visited this website in awhile. I saw the thread title on the main page, and checked it out. My first reaction was like this ---> Not sure what to say...

With all the illegals coming with who knows what diseases. Usually not, but that means sometimes it is. It is like the flu, it also isn't usually fatal but kills 80,000 people a year in the US on average. And as with any virus the treatment is limited to symptom relief. It being misdiagnosed by a doctor is a greater concern to me. Doc probably looked at him, did a cursory exam and said "flu, you will be better in 2-3 days". A cheap test would have shown it wasn't flu. That pisses me off more than anything. It is like the patient from a crash, we extricate him, fully immobilize him, take him to the hospital and within 5 minutes with no x-rays taken the doc takes the c-collar off and removes the backboard. He gets checked out and doctor releases him before we have even finished our reports. Next day, guy calls 911 saying he was trying to drive himself to hospital and now can't feel his arms and legs. We take him in, different doctor, orders x-rays of neck, then a CT. Comes back he has a fracture in his spine 3rd vertabrae down from his skull. Ends up having surgery to repair the fracture and no deficit from it but it could have gone bad, real bad.

ewallover
Has Martin County released any more information on the outbreak? Any clue from officials where G and his wife may have come into contact with this damned disease?
Guest
G, You have a new job in life and that is to soar with the Angels. Do it well and Do It With Gods Speed. As for the rest of us you are not gone, you just went home. So do us all a favor will you? Guide us so that when the time comes we all come home too.

We ask that you provide peace and strength for the family, Amen.
Retcop
I also hope that the authorities are not taking any of this lightly. There needs to be a through investigation with assuming cause of death. of all 3 of these good people.
zoomy
Oh Lord, can this tragedy get any worse? I have to trust in God’s purpose since I can’t fathom the reason for this. May the Lord bless them and keep them.
