I just read a great article on the fall of Berlin, mostly from the German and Russian perspectives.

(FDR made that deal with Stalin, ya know)

With all there is to be troubled about with the Nazi's and WWII, the insane loss of life toward the end

really gives you pause when some people/fanatics/leaders let their darker side rule.

One of the best historical accounts I have come across, because they not only use Military records, but individual accounts,

which, IMHO, is how objective History should be done.

If anyone wants a citation, I'll call my son-in-law.

Today is the 75th anniversary of V-E Day. Brits were planning a big day, but the C-19 virus put a crimp in their celebrations. Very unfortunate, they fought a long hard war under the leadership of a combat soldier and former POW, Sir Winston Churchill. They have rescheduled the celebration for August, on V-J Day.
