Killed this sucker today

Recommended Posts

This little bastiage was in my bushes today. If it does not have hips I will kill every one no matter the breed.

My wife was picking raspberries at the back of our property last week and there was a snake in the bushes actually eating the ripe berries!  I've never heard of anything like that.  It didn't freak her out since it was just a little garden snake but it would have freaked the carp out of some folks.  (Yes, I spelled 'carp' like that intentionally.)

It's bad enough that we have to compete with the Mocking Birds and deer, but now the snakes too?

If it's a garden snake or a Black Snake, it gets a pass.

I'd be more concerned if it reared up and handed me a Red Delicious apple and told me to have a bite..............:bignono:

I was reading that copperheads do not like other copperheads around, they are territorial. I hope so. But if there is more off with its head.

Is the wife sure the "garden snake" (there is a harmless small greenish snake with varying degrees of longwise stripes known as a "garter snake".

Could you please ask the wife if she is sure the snake was actually eating the raspberries, or could it have been eating the insects from the plant ?

I am not disbelieving your wife, but like you, I have never heard of the snake eating berries.

:thumb:   :thumb:      For not killing snakes just because they are snakes   !

Now a copperhead in the bushes by the house, oh yeah, he is going to meet his maker.

Glad you killed it before it got you or your wife.  I hate snakes.

Yep, hands down no question, that was a bad snake.  No mistaking a copperhead.

I have a coon that is way too smart. It unlocks my cat door and steals food, gets in and out of live trap. Going to Orshalins to get the dog proof paw trap. I was trying to be nice releasing them several miles away but now it will be 2245 and Tach65 suppressor.
