I'm Kinda a curious.  How come no Texican were shooting back yesterday?

Was the Mall a Gun Free Zone or what?

I haven't really been following the story all that close. But the Walmarts I've been to in Texas allow conceal carry.

I can't answer your question as to why no one shot back.  From the little I know I don't even think the Police fired any shots.

Lots of people who carry don't all the time.  You'd be surprised the low percentage of people who even have a carry license. I can speak for myself. No matter how short the trip, when out of the house, I carry. I've worked at Refinery's/Plants that have dogs that the do searches that precluded carrying and keeping your job. Other than that I pretty much carry.

Depending on the number people in the store at the time might present a problem trying not to shoot innocent people. Unless I was there I can't even say how I'd respond depending on the situation. I can sit here and imagine what I'd do, but every shooting is unique. Like they say with fighting terrorism your planning for the last event. Shooting like these are all different, with different circumstances.

Morning Armory... wish I could say good with that, but with the last 24 hours, I fear a real push from the left is right around the corner.  Be vigilant my friends.  My cousin’s daughter who lives in Dayton posted an “I’m safe” note on Face book and I made the mistake of reading a few of the comments.  People actually advocating a Police State to stop this; not the answer but I fear the snowflake  generation is willing to trade anything to “feel” safe.  What kind of Americans have these recent generations raised??

Good morning from Northeast Iowa.

Too many sad things in the news. Pray it stops. I’m convinced it’s not the laws, or the guns, or the gun free zones- that’s not what causes this. It’s the wickedness in people’s hearts, and the fact that that current generations have been raised as selfish, undisciplined, sociopathic fools by parents who won’t punish, won’t hold them accountable, and too often are selfishly looking after their own wants and not really raising their children.

This.

And  not letting young males be males. Pushing mood altering drugs on countless children that won' conform to the political whims of liberal/progressive/socialist/communist educator/indoctrinators.

My niece had to push back on the school wanting to put her son on these drugs. With some work he's begun to really do well in school. Zombie-fieing children isn't the answer.  I bet that a lot of these killers have been on these meds.

Good morning from AZ. Scored a NICE rain storm last night with lights and sound!!

Between El Paso and Dayton I'm kind of at a loss. I agree that the snowflakes and lack of parenting are going to be our major roadblocks to freedom down the road. Make all the laws you want but other than door to door searches there are millions of firearms out there and more than a few delusional individuals that will use them for evil. I am saddened over all of this.

Like mentioned above all one can do following these terroristic attacks is that you plan from the last event setting the learning curve.  Monday morning quarterbacking the incidents helps in planning future actions and response. My wife and I talk incessantly about the world around us.She is very engaged in her feelings  and very visceral in her ideas and responses. I'm a bit more, a lot more really, detached about the world and its current state of affairs. I suppose my living and working for 40+ years in psychiatric and prison settings with everything from children to geriatric individuals gives me a window  in to the thought processes and behavior patterns of individuals under various kinds and levels of stress and what they are like thanks to life experiences in upbringing and societal influence. During our chats last night I brought up my training and bent toward stepping into less than safe environments. I run to the noise not away from it like most "normal" individuals. I can only speak for myself in advance that I hope that i I am ever in the wrong place at the right time I'll step up and give it my best shot.I'm getting pretty long in the tooth so perhaps I don't quite fear the end as much as I did as a young fellow.Oddly enough she didn't react negatively to y statement that I hope I'd be going in to stop the carnage. Perhaps my fatalistic presentation was compelling but I think there's lots of member here that share that thought process.  I pray none of us are ever tasked with stepping up into the breech but I do encourage taking steps to raise our odds of winning and walking away from the carnage to love another day.

Sorry but the philosophical area of my brain is under assault after the last 24 hours and I just had to vent.

Just reading the precaution on the meds I was prescribed for Shingles it's a horror show of side effects. Of many are suicidal thought and homicidal thoughts. Short tempered. euphoria followed by depression. Then there are the warnings about stopping the meds without a doctors supervision causing many of the same symptoms. Some don't show up for weeks or months of prescribing. Then there are warnings about taking with other medications many of them OTC that are routinely taken.
