Thanks much for posting. 

A couple of concepts by Mr Krieger that are certainly great food for thought. 


The idea of a new barrel needing copper cleaning because of tooling marks/grain structure in the throat, leade, etc. causing the vast majority of the copper fouling

in a new barrel was new to me. My. Krieger barrels are hand lapped, of course, so that is a consideration in why the majority of copper fouling is a result of friction 

with the reamer.  


Very fascinating stuff, including the theory of a lightweight barrel walking shots having more to do with mirage than the barrel profile itself . 

I'd like to see more stuff like this anytime you come across it....
