It's used by gun shops to allow testing of the AR trigger/safety combos. That way you don't need an upper and lower. Cost savings

Also, good choice. I've assembled three friends ARs with that kit. It's very very nice shooting

I'm all thumbs when it comes to assembling lowers & do not have a vice.....going to find a local or semi local gun smith to do that for me....

We have one of the very top AR gunsmiths in the country a "short" drive away, but he is backed up over a month, otherwise I'd have him do it....

Ahhh I see. Once you have the proper tools, it's not that bad for the lower but I hear you. There's some things I won't do to my jeep and my guns. knowing your own limitations is important

When I asked the local “gunsmith” about putting it together & rocksetting the flash suppressor on, he was like WTF is rocksett & had no idea what LaRue’s plastic lower is.....

Thus it’s still in parts

Lol he had no idea that it's just to house the trigger until you move it to a real lower? Wut. Old maybe? Welp

That's why I turned and walked out.........and the "gunsmith" is in his mid 30's & brags about being a AR15 specialist gunsmith......

Have talked to a really superb machinist/gunsmith & he is willing to slap it together properly, only problem is, he's about a 90 min drive......
