Did you do that? If so, what was the outcome?

Oh noooooo I searched the vehicle ‘ baggage for anything canada considers contraband, can’t bring OC spray, any “switchblade” no ammo or empty brass…..self defense is illegal in Canada

In laws had friends with revolvers who had problems & lost the revolvers as Canada kept them and destroyed em

For me I could not deal with a loose gun when the pants are undone or dropped. My OWB holsters retain the gun when upside down, are locked onto the belt by a belt loop on the pants, and the belt cannot slide out due to the speed loaders locking it in on another belt loop. Number 1 is just undo the belt and pants and go, Number two is the same and I can lock the belt together after dropping pants around my knees and open my legs to tension the belt. Most times that is not needed though....everything stays put.

I am OCD about all my stuff, even my phone. Nothing gets set down where I can leave it. I have had times where it was not possible to keep my phone from falling in some restrooms when doing a number 2. Solution is to take the shirt completely off and leave the phone in the shirt away from any place it may fall. Most all places have a hook on the wall. You won't walk out without your shirt unless your George Constansa.

Those hooks are bad news, people can reach over the door & grab and run

I’ll drop the kiddy diaper tray and use that since it’s away from the door and not in reach

This is where my thinking is at.

While everyone can develop their own system of not forgetting their weapon in a bathroom or while changing clothes, the point is that if your gun falls out of your holster when you drop your drawers, I believe you should strongly consider a different holster that still works for you, but has much better retention capabilities.

Everyone here is smart enough to find something that works for them, but a holster with such inadequate retention that the weapon falls freely from it when you are not "buttoned down"  is a non-starter for me.

Just to be clear, putting the gun in the skivvies doesn't mean it falls out of the holster. My guns stay in their holsters just fine until I take them out. In my skivvies, for the few minutes it takes to do what I'm there for, it's out of sight of anyone peaking under the door and in easier, faster reach than lying on the floor in the holster. And there is NO WAY I'm going to forget it. The only other way I can think of to accomplish all of that is a shoulder holster. YMMV.

I never assumed your system of placing your sidearm in your skivvies meant that your sidearm fell out of your holster. I took it at face value, which meant it sounded like you had a system that worked for you.

It did make me think about meeting you later in the day at the gunshop, for instance, and admiring your sidearm without  some surgical gloves...
