Recondo 101
Well, either you love them or you hate them, there is no in between. I build custom Glocks. Know Glock freaks and Glock haters both. The one thing the Glock has going for it, is it is almost impossible to make it jam. The frame does flex as they fire, it is part of the design. Have a friend that owns two stainless steel Glocks, they do not function as well as the polymer frame version. You can replace the plastic sights with steel adjustable and replace the awful triggr with a Ghost Maker 3#, just takes a bit of tweaking. The polygonal rifling barrel is accurate enough, but you can buy aftermarket regular rifled barrels. The aftermarket and factory barrels were about equal when fired from a rest at 25. I shoot cast bullets a lot, my cast bullets bh at around 23, very hard. I do not have a problem with leading in the poly rifling. I think the major problem is trying to shoot commercial swaged lead in the poly rifling. I have owned several Glocks, at a time, none at this time but have a Dagger ( Glock 19 gen 3 clone) I bought to build just to test aftermarket mods for a Glock. The 10mm will have recoil and the Glock is light in weight, so......

A heavy wheelgun helps tame some of the recoil. But years ago I had a TC Contender with a .44mag/.410 barrel. The .44mags literally shot it to pieces- cracked the forepiece and broke the lug off the bottom of the barrel. My brother-in-law whacked himself in the forehead with the recoil. My G20 P80 clone is nowhere near that snappy, but definitely feels like more recoil than a heavy revolver in .

The first .44 mag I ever shot and man that was decades ago and I can't even remember the name other than it had "Williams" in it. I do remember the recoil. Instead of straight back, it would do a small loop then back at an angle. Though I was impressed with what the round did, it was hell on wrist and I knew that gun wasn't going to last. Later I got to shoot and one I own now, a blackhawk, a honker of a revolver, but the recoil was straight back very manageable. The Auto mag when they made them was a monster of a semi. In fact, that 10mm 1911 I was looking at was a monster too.

HAZMAT
Just picked up a brand new Glock 20 Gen. 5 in 10mm. I'll let you know how it shoots tomorrow. Matt
BushXM15
No fan of Glock but enjoy yours. I bought one of original Gen one crappy shooter ,sold it two months later never looked back. .44 Mag is MY middle name , You want some weight out front ,MY 7.5" is more pleasurable to shoot over MY 4" but that's Bear backup while hunting and Thank God I've yet to have to need it. I'm pretty sure I'll never feel the recoil should I do need it ? Just got IMR 4227 restocked and I prefer that for accuracy over 2400 and only give a little bit in velocity.

We have Bears and Mountain Lions up here. Just as the Wuhan hit, I purchased more brass, magnum primers and boo-lits for the Mod. 29 S&W. Glad I did. I also have moulds and a supply of hard lead if I want to or need to cast. Matt Edited March 8 by HAZMAT
BushXM15
Matt ; That 10mm will work well for either Cat or Bear with 180 grain pill also . A friend of a friend now uses his as his backup hunting packer . So all should be real good ?
HAZMAT
Ran the first 100 rounds of 10 mm at the range today. Two different brands of ammo and no issues whatsoever except my abilities. Kick-azz gun. Matt
Zephyr One/Zero
Yep. The 10mm properly-loaded is up-to-the-task. Usually, pack my Dan Wesson Razorback, or S&W 625 stoked with .45 Supers.
TaosGlock
I own quite a few in 10, 9 and 45. My 10 has a 6” Jarvis barrel which adds an easy 125fps or more over the factory barrel. See our Home Brew section in the 10MM Forums for more details. As stated above, they pretty much go bang every time with the usual challenges with the grip angle. So far I have resisted the urge to get a Glock 40. I love revolvers and I have always been a 41 Mag guy. A 1965 4” Model 58 is what I pack these days in a DeSantis speed scabbard. I also live and work in remote areas.

Winkel
I know I'm late to the game here but I was a lifelong Glock basher until about two years ago. I've had CZs, Smith M&Ps, etc. The ergos on those are really good. A couple of years ago, I got a Shadow Systems MR920 Combat, love it. Bought a G19 the next year, love it. I now have a couple more. The design is genius and simple. Simply put, they really do always work. Now that I've been shooting Glocks for a couple of years, I like the feel better than my CZs and Smiths. I still carry my Shield when hiking because it's so small and slim. It shoots great as well. Mine are all gen 5, and I have to say, the accuracy is on par with any of my other 9mms, if not better. I can shoot in my back yard so I shoot a couple of times per week. I have my steel plates set up at 50 yards and can consistently put 4 or 5 out of 5, on a 12"X20" plate, without a rest. I can't speak to the 10mm, but I have (secretly) become a big Glock fan in the last couple of years. Take apart a CZ 75B, down to the last single part, then do the same with Glock. The simplicity of the design is remarkable.
TackleberryMCS
I own 13 Glocks. Been a fan for a long time. Glock as a few 10mm choices - 20 Gen4, 20 Gen5, 20SF, 29 Gen4, 29SF, and 40 Gen4 MOS. I have the 20 Gen4 and it shoots well. The Glock 10mm is one of the many 10mm pistols available.
