gshayd Posted January 12, 2014 Share Posted January 12, 2014 Ask the folks in Louisiana why they passed a law after the hurricane so that this would never happen again. Even California passed an Emergency Powers Act to prevent weapons from being confiscated during emergencies in 2007. Twenty one other states have done the same. I would guess that a Governor could declare martial law or invoke emergency powers in a state and call out the National Guard and state forces during an emergency.
