mfairclotheaa
I am with you stu, that is the nice thing about living in the middle of nowhere, in a town that only has 2 paved roads (both state highways)
atlong
ive shot a couple times in the cold rainy weather and had fun. we also had one of our IDPA practices in the rain and that was really fun, we didnt do too much running and gunning b.c of safety issues, but we shot the whole match in a pretty good pour, my sig had zero problems like normal! HotShot
Heck no, I like empty ranges, nobody to look and see how crappy of a shot I am Last time I went had the range all to myself and it was great Let me get this straight - You go to a range where someone can see you and you can't shoot, but you go by yourself and your an ace shooter. Gottcha! a town that only has 2 paved roads (both state highways) Too Funny!

Gottcha! i don't know about rampy, but when i shoot by myself, every bullet goes into the same exact hole! i'm not sure how, but it just works like that. when buddies come over, i'm lucky to hold MOA off the bench.... i don't get it... jred83002
When you find that range let me know I want to get my name on the waiting list. Especially if it goes all the way out to 1000 yards and I can get there in 10 minutes from the house on my 4 wheeler and never have to even pack the truck. darn. mine is close. meets everything but the 4 wheeler part. gotta drive your truck. ETA: scratch that. pit toilets and no illegal mexican.... Edited June 2, 2009 by jred83002

HotShot
What I really wanted to shoot... Well, that little critter can't go inside an indoor gun range, now, can it? You just might blow the walls out! What a beauty you have there, Rampy. It's a sweety!

Energizer
I've been shooting in bad weather several times... although not so much recently... I think the last time was when Chris came to town (mid-October 2006) and three of us went to TB to shoot machine guns when it was icing out... I have pics somewhere we had to provide out own covering, and we were drenched. Edited June 2, 2009 by Energizer
HotShot
nice looking boomstick rampy Good thing I didn't have some soda in my mouth!!! I refrained from a comment on that. Leave it up to you to say it! The broomstick is for when Rampy's drunk too much, is laying on the floor, and needs to turn the lights back on in the morning. Or, he's really short. JOKE
jonusmc5
Ummm, I'm a wimp :nt: Don't own one, they are for sissies and girlie men....... I'm sorry. What is the difference in a wimp and a girlie man?
jonusmc5
Well the Corps. made sure i did my share of shooting in the rain, mud, snow, ice, heat, etc, etc. But to tell you the truth, i would rather shoot in a nice steady rain in the 50's than sit out in the blazing sun in the 90's. I absolutely hate the heat. My idea summer time high would be about 65. Winter would stick around 20. I need to move to Alaska......... Pepper
The part about shooting better when alone is true. Before we moved, I had this nice little 50 yard range set up. When I'd walk down by myself, I'd bring back targets that looked like a master class shooter had been there. When I took others down, I'd look like I was using a shotgun. I somewhat got over that, but my best targets are still when I was alone and could concentrate on the matter at hand.
