White Oak Armament barrels

Recommended Posts

I'm looking into all my options for the black rain build and i was wondering if any one here has a white Oak barrel or if they have shot one before. I'm wanting something good and accurate for an SPR type build.

Not exactly the model you are looking for but, I have their 20" CMP service rifle upper in 1-7 twist.

It is well worth the money. The quality is top notch and it is very accurate.

What are the best groups you have gotten with it?

I have a WOA SPR barrel on a Black Rain Ord build I just finished with a few months ago. You wont be dissapointed with the WOA SPR barrel. The type of ammo you use will make a big difference, I've found I get consistant sub MOA groups with the Hornady 75 gr Match ammo. Took the wife out to the range with me yesterday and my best three shot group (out of four groups, was mostly there to help my wife learn) was 7/16ths inch. I havent tried any of the 77 gr ammo yet but look forward to putting a few down range. Hope this helps.

That is exactly what I was looking for! They obviously don't really advertise MOA of their barrels on the website, but knowing that their SPR barrel can do that makes me feel better about buying on from them. I also really like that you can get a bolt that is head-spaced to the barrel directly from them.

Thanks!

Glad I could help. I got the headspaced bolt with mine also when I bought it and I couldnt be happier. Just a heads up on the Hornady 75 gr Match ammo, I ordered a few hundred more rounds of it here, best price I could find http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/horn...s.aspx?a=532473

And yes, I'm a buyers club member....saves me a bit of $ sometimes.

I'm going to have to bug you for more info again :)

It the barrel really .223 like their website says, or can it handle 5.56? I heard around here somewhere they use Wylde chambers, is that right?

What gas length system did you go with? And did you get the M4 feed ramps?

Any one last one....can you post a pic? I wanna see your setup

Off a bench it will shoot sub MOA. It likes the heavier bullets with the fast twist. Which is why I got it.

Lighter ones even work well for 25M training.

It sits on a RRA lower but is eventually going to live on a Territorial Gunsmiths Second Amendment edition lower.

i put this exact barrel on my mk12mod0. it is a great barrel and shoots 69gr matchkings on top of 25.6 gr of varget to 1/2" groups sometimes better at 100 yds. i haven't tried the IOR scope i got form captainbarred but i am guessing i will get some tighter groups... hopefully i will get to find out as soon as duck seasson is over in 3 months.

Not a problem. It's chambered in .223 Wilde so while I havent tried shooting any 5.56 I'm sure I will in the future. Yes, it has the M4 feed ramps very nicely done. I got the rifle length gas system on my barrel.

Here are a couple of quick pic's I just took. These are my first pics here so I hope this works....
