10mm officers finally finished

Recommended Posts

I collected parts for a year while I was in Afghanistan, got home in May and finally had the time to build my pistol. I now have over 300 full power loads through it. I used a Caspian Officers slide and frame, a Schueman ramped barrel and Wilson, Colt and EGW internals with fusion 7 round magazines. It shoots great. Currently it is in the white, my next step is to polish and blue it. I am going to do a very high polish for a royal blue finish.

Does anyone know who else besides Fusion and Metal form sell 10 mm Officers Magazines?

This is what I started with:

One Caspian officer slide and frame for the 10mm build and a caspian officers slide and colt officers slide for another build.

They have Mec-Gar 10mm Officers at Top Gun here's the link: http://www.topgunsupply.com/mec-gar-magazines/ By the way wile326, the build looks good. Post some pics of the finished results. Check VZ grips out too, a nice finishing touch. http://vzgrips.com/gun-grips/1911-pistol-grips-1 Hope this helps out.

How is the recoil? (I've not shot a 10MM, but have a lightweight .45)

Is that an aluminum frame?

How much does she weigh.

By the way, looks great, congrats.

VERY schweeet! :thumb:

Can't help you with the mag question, BUT... have you considered a two-tone finish? I think that would look very sharp!

It is a steel frame. I feel recoil is comparable to a lightweight officers model, but I am used to recoil, the first handgun I ever owned was a .22lr, the second was a .451 detonics. I have been shooting it for 22 years now, so I am used to it. I have always liked the pocket rockets.
